AT&T Begins Offering Unlimited Mobile Calling With A Catch
February 10, 2011
AT&T might be down, but they are not out of the game. With today’s arrival of the Verizon iPhone, AT&T has thrown a bone to its new and existing customers.
Beginning today, AT&T customers can enjoy unlimited calling to any mobile number in the U.S., Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
According to David Christopher, AT&T’s Chief Marketing Officer:
“We’re giving customers more options and even better value. And when you include Rollover Minutes, a benefit available exclusively from AT&T that lets customers keep their unused minutes for all domestic calls, including to landline numbers, it’s clear that AT&T offers the most flexibility in the industry.”This sounds good, but it comes with limitations. First, it is only available with select Nation and FamilyTalk plans. Second, in order to qualify you must also subscribe to the company’s Messaging Unlimited plan. This runs $20 per month for individuals and $30 per month for a FamilyTalk Plan. Mobile to Any Mobile is available for $30 per month. What do you think? Is this a deal, or not so much?
