The Daily Remains Free Through February 28th, Could Signal Release Of iOS 4.3 Update

Originally rumored to be released today, the iOS 4.3 update for iDevices has been delayed. Apparently because of this, The Daily’s free subscription has been quietly extended through February 28th. When it was released, The Daily gave readers a free two week subscription to its service, which would have ended this week. The iOS 4.3 update will bring support for the in-app recurring subscriptions to be used by the iPad news app.

While Apple has not officially announced the date the iOS update would be released to the public, penciling in sometime around February 28th would probably be accurate. Either that, or The Daily was just being nice by giving us all a Valentine's Day gift. Germany-based Mecerkopf was first to report on The Daily subscription extension.
