Hipstamatic Gets Significant Update
February 10, 2011
One of the better photography apps for the iPhone/iPod touch just received a substantial update. Hipstamatic now includes extras that make it better than ever.
Created by Synthetic Corp, the analog camera emulating app lets you shoot photos that look old fashioned.
One of the nicest features of the latest version is the Quicksta Snap film queue system. This allows rapid-firing up to nine images in a row without waiting for processing, which is done automatically in the background.
The new camera bag organization system lets users rearrange and disable their “gear.” This makes it easier to access lenses, flashes, and film.
Most significant, the Hipstamatic 200 update includes a free Mac & Milk Fashion HipstaPak, featuring a lens created by GQ fashion photographer Chiun-Kai Shih. It also includes a glitzy gold camera skin.
This Pak is only free through February 17, in celebration of New York Fashion Week. Thereafter, the Pak will cost $.99 as part of the new SoHo HipstaPak. This will include two new analog-inspired films: Cano Cafenol and Blanko Noir.
Hipstamatic is a fun product and definitely worth its price of $1.99. Get it today in the App Store.
