For the next two days, Skyfire Labs’ popular Flash-enabling web browser apps for iPhone and iPad will be available in the App Store for their lowest prices ever as part of the company’s aptly titled “Flash sale.”
With Skyfire Web Browser, you will be able to play millions of Flash videos on any of your iDevices. When you come across a site that requires Flash, just tap on the ‘video’ button in the lower left-hand corner of the screen to see if the app is able to load the video from the company’s servers. If the video is available, a pop-up will display a thumbnail of it along with the amount of time it will take to finish loading and, when tapped on, can be played in full-screen.
Not all Flash-enabled websites are supported, however, and Flash games and apps are not supported at all. If you live outside of the U.S., you may have more trouble getting Flash content to work since not all sites are able to stream to Skyfire Labs’ U.S.-based servers.
Although Skyfire Web Browser‘s main purpose is to provide you with Flash content, it is able to do much more than that. The app features the usual tabs, search, bookmarks, and history found in standard web browsers. It also allows you to share your pages via a wide variety of social services. It even gives you quick access to your Google reader feeds if you are into that sort of thing.
Skyfire Web Browser for iPhone is normally priced at $2.99, but now it’s available for $1.99. Skyfire Web Browser for iPad is normally priced at $4.99, but now you can grab it for $3.99. The sale has already started and will end on February 18th at 9:00 AM PST.
