Following Chronic Dev's Greenpois0n release; the iPhone Dev Team's primus inter pares member MuscleNerd had some interesting news to share on Twitter.
In a Tweet, MuscleNerd confirmed that jailbreakers' current goal was to create a working untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3. Which would suggest that they already have the jailbreak, just need to make it work without your computer. MuscleNerd also stated that they were working on a way to use 4.2.1 SHSH blobs instead of 4.2b3 ones, which would make this jailbreak much more accessible. Anyway, if you haven't already, save those blobs in Cydia now.
From the tweet:
@comex and now one goal is to get Monte to untether 4.3-final using 4.2.1 SHSH blobs (and future FW X->FW Y's, etc)With their shift in goals; we can begin to hope that work on the unlock has already been complete and that its launch may be imminent. In the meantime, if you feel like jailbreaking your iOS 4.2.1 device you can check out our guides here: Mac/Windows. Excited or you couldn't care less? Let us know what you think in the comments!
