Angry Birds Rio Launches In New Zealand, Ready To Take On The World

It’s a new day in New Zealand and with it comes the arrival of the highly anticipated Angry Birds Rio game. The latest game in the Angry Birds series, Rio should be available soon across the world in the App Store.
The game, which made a splash at this year’s Super Bowl, is a tie-in of sorts with the upcoming Fox motion picture, Rio. However, don’t let that fool you: Angry Birds Rio is a fully functional game, and includes 60 levels of fun in its first version. New levels will be added with future updates.
The story begins when our favorite birds are caged and shipped to Rio de Janeiro. While they eventually escape their captors, they must now save their new friends, Blu and Jewel, two rare macaws and the stars of the animated film Rio, which debuts April 15.
The game includes unique twists, special hidden fruits and more.
