Apple's Store Goes Offline Ahead Of iPad 2 Event

Not surprisingly, Apple’s online store is now offline, ahead of today’s iPad 2 media event. Visitors to the site are greeted with the familiar “We’ll be back soon” message that often comes ahead of major events and new product releases.
Within hours, Apple is expected to announce the second generation iPad device and other offerings. This could include a revamped (and free) MobileMe service and a preview of the upcoming iOS 5 release.
