Coming In Green? First iPad 2 Online Orders Expected Midweek

When online orders for the iPad 2 began last Friday morning, Apple alerted early customers their second-generation iDevice would arrive in “three to five days.” We now have confirmation the first of these orders have shipped, or will be shipping soon.
One of our editors, Jay, ordered his iPad 2 (a black 64GB Wi-Fi model) one hour after online ordering began on Friday and received the above-mentioned message.
Late last night, Apple confirmed shipment; Jay's iPad 2 will be arriving from Shengzen, China on Thursday, March 17. Better still, some AppAdvice readers have said their iPad 2's will arrive one today earlier, on March 16.
Assuming other early buyers receive similar messages, St. Patrick’s Day should be a whole lot of fun for many.
Of course, other customers are out of luck. Current orders will ship in "three to four weeks."
