The DBM: An iPhone Case With A Pocket Watch, Alligator Skin

While they might have gone out of style decades ago, pocket watches might make a comeback if Swiss-based De Bethune has anything to say about it. They have created the DBM, an iPhone case that includes a watch, according to Gentleman’s Gadgets. Made of “chestnut brown full-grain alligator leather,” the DBM includes De Bethune’s DB 1024 pocket watch mechanism directly in the back of it. According to Born Rich, the watch includes “a silver-toned hand-guilloche dial with gold detailing, featuring flame-blued steel hands and a hand-wound movement with 6-day power reserve set into a 48mm antimagnetic watch case.” For the pickiest among us, precious stones can be added to the case “on request.” Although no street date or price has yet been announced, the DBM will surely cost more that even the finest [sic] of Bumper cases.
