The Scream's Ghost Face Arrives In New iPhone/iPod touch App

Anticipating the April 15 release of Scream 4, the Sightings – Ghost Face app for the iPhone/iPod touch is now available in the App Store. The app is primarily a movie promotion, but includes enough features to make it unique in its own right. Is it worth $.99?
Created by Red Dot Media, the app lets users combine photos from the iPhone’s camera roll with one of more than 20 poses of Ghost Face, the star of the Scream movies. Plus, you can move, scale, and edit each photo and create the perfect “sighting.” These photos can be shared on your Facebook wall or by 'reporting' them to the Sightings-Ghost Face group.

Sightings – Ghost Face is short on surprises, but it's a great way to attract a new generation of Scream watchers, which is probably its goal. After all, it has been 11 years since Scream 3 was in theaters. However, it is probably wiser for the creators to offer the app for free. What do you think? Leave your comments below.
