TweetDeck 2.0 Gets Internets All Atwitter

April 26, 2011
As of this writing, TweetDeck for iPhone has gone 2.0. I haven't had any luck downloading the app just yet, but judging by the looks of things, this little black bird went and got baked into a brand new pie -- and it's quite the dish! Iain Dodsworth, founder and CEO of TweetDeck, says the upgraded app is a complete redesign. His Batman franchise analogy is amusing and pretty well hits the nail on the head:
In Hollywood they would call it a "re-imagining" - keep the essence of the original, but bring it bang up to date with a new team, top-class effects and plenty of scope for sequels. Ditch the camp soundtrack and overacting of Batman and Robin, and replace it with the cool car and new suit of Batman Begins.
Not to split hairs or anything, but I don't like the new movies and prefer Val Kilmer and Arnold in Batman Forever. Still, I'm pretty sure I'll like TweetDeck 2.0 a whole lot more than its forebear. We'll have a more in-depth look at the app later today, so check out the video demo below in the meantime.
