Why Does Apple Want To Trademark "Noteworthy?"

May 17, 2011
The European Trademark Office has revealed Apple’s latest “Noteworthy” trademark filing, according to Patently Apple. It appears to be some sort of new app that would allow iPhone users to scan photos or documents. European Trademark No. 009969726 is called simply, Noteworthy, and was filed on May 5, 2011. It appears to relate to providing OCR capabilities. However, Patently Apple considers it a “blind trademark,” meaning it “keeps the door open to other possibilities.” Being able to scan photos or documents with an iPhone would be interesting and certainly has a “James Bond” feel to it.
