The Queen Orders An iPad 2
May 10, 2011
In her nearly 60-year reign, the U.K.’s Queen Elizabeth II has seen a lot. However, it wasn’t until recently she got to test drive an iPad 2. Now, the monarch too has ordered one of Apple’s iDevices, according to The Sun.
It was the recently married Prince William and his brother, Prince Harry, who showed their grandmother Apple’s latest tablet. Soon after, she requested an iDevice of her own.
A royal insider said:
"The Queen hadn't seen anything like the iPad before. She was very impressed. She was particularly taken with how easy it was to use, the large screen and how light it was. For a woman of her age, she is very switched on. It was only a matter of time before she asked someone to go and get her one."The Queen turned 85 in April. This isn’t the Queen’s first foray into the world of Apple. In 2005, she purchased an iPod. What apps should Queen Elizabeth II buy for her new iPad 2? Let us know by leaving your comments below.
