Demolition Dash, from developer dreamfab, is a new take on the classic “endless running” genre. Instead of offering an infinite, dynamically-changing single course (which is coming as an option in a future update), the app description has you ready to

[t]ake control of the tiny monster Zilla and annihilate everything in sight: wipe out SWAT teams, blow up cars and leave only rubble behind on your way through eight famous cities.

The settings include Paris, New York, San Francisco, London, Moscow, Tokyo, Sydney, and Rio de Janeiro; and Zilla’s abilities — jumps, double-jumps, and fierce roars — can be enhanced with power-ups as you make your way through 24 different levels.

Zilla moves with a very basic control scheme.

The Retina-supporting graphical style is cartoony and sharp, with flashy particle effects and a fast, aggressive frame-rate. Zilla’s four lives, represented by her (his?) segmented tail, are spent each time she fails to jump a gap or blast a police blockade; and the progressively harder courses beckon play after play.

Pretty in pink (iPad version).

Prettier in pink (iPhone Retina version).

Demolition Dash for iPhone is a steal at $0.99, while the iPad’s HD version is only a dollar more.
