Apple Releases Official WWDC App...For Participants Only

June 2, 2011
Apple is in the process of releasing the official app for next week’s WWDC conference in San Francisco, California. The free app, simply called WWDC, works on both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. Unfortunately, only WWDC participants can use the app. WWDC is considered the mobile guide to the Apple Worldwide Conference. In addition to providing detailed descriptions on every session, lab, or event, and app includes a Reserve Time at the Labs feature. This allows conference participants to make a reservation at the User Interface, App Review, iTunes Connect, Program Support, or Developer Publication lab. Once a reservation is made, it will appear in the schedule section of the app when you filter your view by Favorites. The app also includes detailed floor maps of Moscone West, site of this year’s conference, as well news and photos from around the hall. WWDC is available for download via the App Store.
