Nickelodeon's "Olivia" Star Of New iPad App
June 9, 2011
Polin8 Media has announced the release of Olivia Acts Out, an interactive book for the iPad. Based on the Nickelodeon character “Olivia,” the app was recently featured in the App Store’s “New and Noteworthy” section.
Created for preschoolers and children of every age, Olivia Acts Out features narration and interactive elements that immerse its reader into the world of its star. Plus, on every page, kids can touch a character to watch an animation or hear a unique sound.
For example, in one scene, the reader can help Olivia swing “over the moon” with realistic, gyroscopic movements by tilting the tablet back and forth.
According to Andrew McLeod, founder and President of Polin8 Media:
“Teachers and parents will love how much fun reading can be with Olivia Acts Out for iPad. Children learn with a smile while following the text at the same pace as the friendly narrator, which can be turned off so children can read themselves or to have the story read to them. Curious kids love engaging the interactive elements hidden throughout Olivia Acts Out.”Features include:
