Serious Sam: Kamikaze Attack Coming At End Of July

July 15, 2011
Serious Sam usually means serious business. The man has starred in a couple of PC games that featured lush 3D environments, countless enemies to kill in waves, and first person shooting gameplay. The games feel like Quake on steroids because of the number of enemies appearing onscreen simultaneously. One of these enemies, who some say is the arch rival, is called the "Headless Kamikaze." He will soon be starring in an iOS game called Serious Sam: Kamikaze Attack. According to a recent post from gaming blog Joystiq, the game is coming out for both iOS and Android mobile platforms by the end of this month. The aim of the title is to avoid Sam's firepower, and dodge his weapon attacks, by going through levels in an endless-runner fashion. Pocket Gamer reports that the game may offer a catch. The catch will be that at the end of the game (or possibly each level) the kamikaze will die and Sam will remain victorious. "Serious Sam: Kamikaze Attack features colorful hand-drawn artwork, which — according to the press release we've just received — aims to distract you from your inevitable violent death," according to Pocket Gamer. The game will also feature 40 levels of gameplay. Information regarding the exact release date should be available soon.
