The iPad is not a cell phone, but that hasn’t stopped one enterprising developer from making it so. Beginning July 28, Line2 is expected to release a new app that turns your tablet into a phone, all for just $10 per month.
Line2 for iPad works via VoIP along with the iDevice’s built-in speaker and mic or by using a wired headset.
The service, which is free for one-week, allows you to makes calls, listen to voice mail, and send text messages.
