The iPod Touch: Dead Or Coming Soon In White?
July 22, 2011
While most of the rumors in recent months have focused on the upcoming iPhone, today there is something to report on a rumored next-generation iPod touch. According to 9 To 5 Mac, the next iDevice could come in white.
First released in 2007, the iPod touch is essentially the iPhone without the phone capabilities. Through four updates, the iDevice has always come in one color, black. However, photos recently received from an unnamed source suggest Apple will soon be offering a white iPod touch model.

However, 9 To 5 Mac is quick to note:
We obviously cannot confirm the legitimacy of these photos but according to iFixYouri, they fall in line with the fourth generation iPod touch’s build. Knowing this, these can either be photos of a scrapped white iPod touch 4 in white or (hopefully) photos of the fifth-generation iPod touch’s front panel in white.Releasing a white iPod touch model makes sense, given that Apple currently offers a white iPhone 4 model. Still, this is only a rumor. In fact, it was just days ago some suggested Apple would get rid of the iPod line altogether. What do you think? Leave your comments below.
