Tweak Adds Trash Can Icon To iOS

August 24, 2011
A new iPhone jailbreak lets users delete apps as if they were using a Mac or PC. The tweak, Android Delete, lets you drag unused apps into a trash can for later removal, according to news first reported by Redmond Pie. Available within Cydia’s BigBoss repository for $1.49, Android Delete (as if the name didn’t give it away) adds functionality found on Android-based devices through the launcher. After installing the tweak, users simply have to drag apps to the trash can icon that shows up whenever an app icon is pressed and held. Really, it’s that simple. The tweak can also be easily turned on (or off) without actually deleting it. Plus,  users can adjust the speed of the animations to suit their preferences. Android Delete requires iOS 4.0 or above.
