Wow, That's A Lot Of iPhone 5s

August 15, 2011
Apple expects the iPhone 5 to sell so well, it is preparing to have 26 million units available before the end of the year. In fact, the company has increased production of all of its iPhones by 12 to 13 percent, according to TechCrunch. The iPhone 5 (or whatever it will be called) is expected to be unveiled sometime in the next two months. When it does, Apple is hoping that its supply will meet the demand for its first new handset since June 2010. It was then the iPhone 4 was released. Accordingly, the company is planning to offer 26 million iPhone 5 units before 2011 is over. In total, this will mean 100 million units will be made available for the entire year, when you also include the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4. Assuming Apple sold each of those iPhone 5 units, it would far surpass the 18.65 million iPhone units sold in the second quarter of this year.
