An iPhone 5 Prototype - Video Included
September 30, 2011
Tired of waiting to see what the iPhone 5 looks like? Want to know before Apple shows us on Tuesday? One enterprising designer thinks he’s figured out the iPhone’s new look and used aluminum and glass to create his own iPhone mockup.
Ben Miller at BenM.at created a iPhone 5 prototype based on “CAD designs, hardware components, several leaked hints, case and recent, believable mockups.” The end result is an iPhone much thinner than the current model that also includes a larger 4-inch display.
In addition, Miller suggests the iPhone 5’s Home button will now be an oval shape, as opposed to a circle. In other words, the button will react to a light touch, just like the rest of the display.
Take a look:
We’re not sure Miller’s design will, in fact, actually resemble the handset announced next week. However, we can confirm it does matchup with most of rumors floating around in recent months about the next handset. Besides, while we wait for Apple's announcement, these pictures can at least whet our appetites.
