Kunundrum (Free) by Hope This Works Games Inc. is a puzzle game with crisp, Tron-like graphics, electronic music, and an incredible knack for making you think you've solved the puzzle, when in all reality you haven't.

The goal of this game is to flick the colored sparks into their respective goals. Depending on how well you do, you'll earn one to three stars per level. The catch is that the sparks do not stop moving in the direction you flick them until they are met by an obstruction (another spark or a wall).

When the game begins, it's simple enough to figure out and play, but as you progress in levels, it becomes more and more challenging. Eventually, you deal with multiple colored sparks as you advance through the game.

New mechanics are introduced and you must work with them to get the sparks into their goals. These include directional arrows, portals, and other such obstacles that will block your spark.

This game is very challenging, but in the most engaging and amusing way. On some levels, once you think you have it figured out, you'll realize you were wrong and have to start all over. But it doesn't get discouraging; on the contrary, it just makes you even more hell bent on figuring the puzzle out and moving on to the next conundrum — or Kunundrum.

Playing this game is like trying to find your way out of a maze — but with colorful lights and many innovative obstacles and objects to both help and hinder your progress.

The music and sounds just add to the overall feel of the game. The electronic soundtrack will both soothe and motivate you as you solve these intensely addictive puzzles.

The best part about Kunundrum is that it's available in the App Store for free. However, after you try the free 20 levels, you have the option to purchase more levels for $1.99. Personally, I like the idea of being able to play the game for free — for enough levels to convince you you want to play more, and on top of it, ad free!

Kunundrum has both Game Center and OpenFeint support with achievements and leaderboards. It's also a universal app.

So, try it before you buy it! It certainly has me hooked. If you like challenging puzzle games at all, you'll definitely want to purchase the other levels — but only if you want to.
