CES 2012: Griffin Gives You The Edge In Cubicle Warfare With The HELO TC Assault
Griffin Technology, a name usually attached to everyday technology products, is now adding some fun to your cubicle warfare routine. Surprise your coworkers, friends, and even family with the new HELO TC Assault RC Helicopter.
The HELO TC Assault will be ready for your daily battles with six live-fire missiles which are launched by a tap on your smartphone’s screen. The helicopter will come with a Flight Deck module, which you will plug in to the headphone jack of your iOS or Android device. The Flight Deck attachment will beam infrared commands to the chopper. Then make sure to download the free HELO TC Assault app (coming soon) to take your battles to the sky.
To add to the cool factor, the app will also provide features that you won’t find in other RC helicopters. One such feature is Auto Land, which will bring your chopper down for a safe landing with a tap of your touchscreen controls.
Griffin also has the HELO TC chopper (no missiles), along with the free app for iOS (and Android). This app is similar to the original iOS model that launched in Fall 2011, and has been updated to work with both platforms. With this updated app, users can now fly the HELO TC in one of two ways with the Flight Deck: touch control (virtual joystick) or tilt-to-steer (tilt the device to maneuver the chopper).
No matter if you prefer the pacifist HELO TC or want to rage cubicle warfare with the Assault, both models feature intuitive, easy-to-learn and easy-to-use controls, a stable twin-rotor design, and the ability to record up to three Flight Plans for easy repetition.
The HELO TC for iOS and Android will be available in late January with a price tag of $49.99, while the HELO TC Assault will be available this Spring with a price tag of $59.99.
