Macworld 2012: CIA: Operation Ajax To Become A Universal App

January 29, 2012
Cognito Comics was present at this year’s Macworld convention to announce the upcoming update to its digital comic, CIA: Operation Ajax. The big news for the update is that the currently iPad-specific version will become a universal app this March. The book is based on the true story of the first CIA backed coup against Iran in 1953. It is 210 pages long and features interactive sound and animations. There are 22 character dossiers that include real life photographs and notes. There are also historical newsreels and authentic declassified CIA documents. The book was originally created as an iPad app, but Cognito Comics has decided to make it truly mobile for fans that want to carry the story around in their pocket. The developers redid the entire book so that it is optimized for the smaller screen. CIA: Operation Ajax is currently available in the App Store for $7.99 and the universal update will be free. For those who have yet to buy the interactive comic book, Cognito Comics will also be releasing a “lite” version that includes the first chapter, which coincides with the March update.
