Do Date ($0.99) by Law On My Phone is an unbelievably simple to use app that effectively reminds you when things need to get done, or when there are important dates that need to be remembered. Never again forget when your anniversary is, or when your only child’s concert recital will be taking place.

With this app there is no excuse to forget important dates again. Using the iPhone/iPod touch’s notification center, Do Date sends reminders directly to the device. Each day, the app will update the notification with how many days are left before the event arrives. For example, Uncle Bob’s birthday will show up as being seven days away, then six and so on.

The notification for each reminder can be turned on and off. To avoid Uncle Bob knowing about the cake that is being delivered on Tuesday, shut off the notification and he will not accidentally stumble across it.

The app will only show 10 reminders at a time. This is because the iPhone/iPod touch’s notification center has a maximum of 10 events at a time. Users must make sure the feature is set on their device by selecting the “show 10 recent” option.

Notifications will be sent at 12:01 a.m. each day, but users can change the reminder time manually. Unfortunately, there is no way to set reminder times individually.

This app is so easy to use that even the laziest of organizers will appreciate its simplicity. Just add an event, the date the event is due, and hit save. There are no complicated features or syncing requirements. It is perfect for those who have a hard time remembering dates, but don’t want to fuss over a complex Getting Things Done app. Pick it up in the App Store for only $0.99.
