I'm going to be honest. I spent the weekend wondering why the flu didn't just kill me instead of letting me wallow in my own nausea. Trying out apps that were complicated, weird or made me scramble to find a few more shreds of faith in humanity was out of the question. Considering that my daily diet still revolves around applesauce, I erred on the side of caution and played with a simple, easy app. Bloonz is simple and easy. It was entertaining. It didn't make me sick to my stomach. It was like comfort food from my iPhone.
I liked playing the memory game. It makes cute little squeaky noises. What could be easier than matching nice balloons? If you're dying to live life a little faster, there's always the best time option. The point is to break as many balloons without hitting the black ones. The one minute round is pretty self-explanatory. The app keeps track on your best times for each of the options.
I know this game doesn't sound like it's earth-shattering. Really though, when you just don't feel good, anything that brings comfort is a welcome relief. It's like a nice cup of chicken noodle soup or a glass of fizzy ginger ale.
