The wait is finally over: The Chronic-Dev Team has just released Absinthe A5 jailbreak for both iPhone 4S and iPad 2.
The news comes soon after the hacking dream team released a video of unsigned code running on an iPhone 4S.
The jailbreak is available on the Greenpois0n website, and acts as an enhancement to the Greenpois0n jailbreaking tool. Absinthe is only available for Mac OS X right now, however, both Windows and Linux versions are expected to come out very soon.
The jailbreak will allow users to take advantage of a host of tweaks and other unsigned software. The most notable feature, however, is the fact that the jailbreak is untethered and users will not need a computer in order to boot their device.
The Greenpois0n website seems to be having some issues and we're certain this must be due to high traffic.
We'll have a how-to article available soon to guide you through the process.
