The Tower of Zarbartz ($0.99) by Zener Works challenges you to separate out the impurities from a gushing cascade of water. Add blocks and take them away to channel the water as you rustle up every precious last drop of pure water.

The title may sound a little odd, but what's in a name? An app by any other name would still be fun to play. That is definitely the case with this game.

Similar to Where's My Water?, you'll need to strategically plan out the water's path as it pours from the faucet. However, the ability to add blocks in this game and the higher difficulty level easily separates it from Where's My Water?

Dragging your finger on the screen has a pointer tool draw outlines of boxes along the path. Hitting the on button will add blocks where the outline appeared, while hitting off will take blocks away if the outline crossed any of them. The ability to shape the level to whatever you need it to be is definitely the key strategy for this game.

My only critique is in regards to the pointer used for adding or removing the blocks. It appears whenever you touch the screen, though the actual part that generates the box outlines is an inch away from your fingertip.

This means that drawing the box outlines doesn't occur at the spot on the screen that you're touching, which makes control more difficult.

This is definitely a fun puzzle game. There's a bit of a learning curve with adding or removing the blocks, but the levels do a good job of building up the challenge.
