Spotify has replaced the iPod app for me, however, not being able to use Siri to control my music is quite disappointing. All that is about to change with the new AssistantLove tweak for Siri.
The tweak allows you to play any track on Spotify as you normally would have in the iPod app using Siri, but this way your music library is gigantic. This, however, is what affects the tweak’s accuracy. Since Spotify’s library consists of millions of tracks, many of which, have similar titles, Siri can easily mix them up. Nevertheless, it is great to see a tweak that finally allows Siri to communicate with Spotify.
In addition to this, AssistantLove also offers integration with popular GPS apps like TomTom and Navigon, so that you can obtain directions through an alternative to the native Maps app. Finally AssistantLove also offers an app launcher so you can have Siri launch your favorite iOS apps with a request.
AssistantLove is available via Cydia, in the BigBoss Repo for $1.99.
