Patriots fans, look away. (I had to type all this with my eyes closed.)
The New York Football Giants won a nail-biter in Super Bowl XLVI, as poor clock management and defensive strategy ultimately cost Tom Brady and company their shot at a coveted fourth ring. In the end, Eli Manning’s late-game brilliance — and another made-for-Hollywood circus catch — gave the G-Men a 21-17 victory in the most-watched telecast in American TV history.
Fans of the 2011 Giants can relive their magical season — one in which they went from 7-7 to Super Bowl champs — with the New York Daily News‘ Giants Celebration app. In it, you’ll get a seasons’ worth of ups and downs, with photos, columns, and analysis from the publication’s top sports writers.
I’ll save my $1.99 and pass on this one, though. I haven’t even turned on ESPN since Sunday.
(If you’d rather get the official NFL commemorative app, it’s available for iPad for $2.99.)
