Hollyweird Zombies USA ($0.99) by ZombieActive Games throws you right into the director's seat of a horror film premiere that gets overrun by a zombie apocalypse. Herschell Gordon Lewis Jr., a gore film director, is fighting to stay alive and save the pretty scarlets that have been taken by the zombie lord, El Zombero. He needs your help - and he needs it fast.
You will need to fight your way through every level, defeat the boss, and save the scarlet who will reward you with a big, fat smooch when you're done. The levels will take you through downtown Hollywood and other places like Santa Monica and Sunset Boulevard.
The design of this game is pretty awesome. The characters are all colorful and animated well. That's not where the fun stops, though. In this game, you can create your own zombies that you can blast away in your demolition. Awesome? Heck yeah!
Hate your boss and want to throw him in the mix? Go ahead! Ex-girlfriend is pestering you and you want to take some aggression out on her? Make her a zombie and have at it! The possibilities are endless. I chose to add pictures of my fiancée and me.
I will add that this game has quite a bit of blood and gore to go along with it, so children might need to steer clear of it. Although, parents have the final say in that matter.
The game does get repetitious, considering you just walk and shoot. That's about it. You do earn money along the way, which will allow you to purchase new weapons at the start of each level. You can wield such weapons as a machete, handgun, chainsaw, and even a rocket launcher. These are sure to get the party started!
