Pimp Your Screen, one of the best selling background apps in the App Store, has today received a nice update. Version 1.7 includes a number of great new tools including something that may interest our AppAdvice readers!
First launched in March 2011, Pimp Your Screen for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad customizes the look of your iDevice by giving you an exclusive selection of specially designed backgrounds, icon skins, app shelves, and neon combos. Best of all, new content is added daily, including special holiday goodies.
The new update includes Retina display support for the new iPad. In addition, Pimp Your Screen now includes new icon skins, app shelves, neon combos, and Home screens to spice up the look of your iDevices.
One of Pimp Your Screen’s most noteworthy features remains not having to set the image you prefer first and then go back to the Home screen and see how it looks with the icons on it. For this, you simply use the instant preview feature, which allows you to quickly preview your new background or app shelf.
