Weebly Arrives On iPhone

May 3, 2012
Weebly, one of the leading website creation providers, today announced the launch of their new app for the iPhone/iPod touch. The free app enables millions to create and manage a website or blog from their handset. Based in San Francisco, California, Weebly first came on the scene in 2006. The service is known for offering users a simple way to create their own website using a WYSIWYG, or “drag and drop” interface. To date, Weebly has 11 million active users. The Weebly app complements the Web experience by giving users 24/7 access to moderate and respond to blog comments, manage leads from their site’s contact forms, and view website traffic trends. Additionally, the app lets users easily add and reorder text, photos, and videos in their posts, enabling quick content creation with one-click auto-posting to Facebook and Twitter. According to David Rusenko, co-founder and CEO of Weebly:
We believed it was critical to give our users an iOS compliment to the web experience, as bloggers, website creators and small business owners increasingly need to communicate with their audiences on the fly.
App highlights include:
  • Free sign up and website creation
  • Drag & Drop blogging allows users to quickly add and reorder text, video and photos in posts
  • View website statistics, including page views/unique visitors, referring sites and top search terms
  • Check and respond to form submissions (RSVP, lead, contact forms, etc.)
  • View, moderate and respond to blog comments
The Weebly App is available now in the App Store. Are you a Weebly customer? What do you like best about the service?
