WhosHere Adds Free Video Chat
WhosHere, the first location-based mobile social discovery app, today began offering video chat. Now users can anonymously text, call, and instant video chat with anyone around the world for free.
First released in April 2009, the WhosHere app brings together people based on personality and chemistry, allowing them to communicate and get to know one another before deciding to meet in person. With video chat, these conversations are now more personal. Using WhosHere’s video chat capability, users can quickly and safely verify that they are speaking to the person they expected to, and not to someone hiding behind a fake or doctored photo.

For those concerned about privacy, WhosHere never shares a user’s personal information unless they choose to provide it. In addition, the exact location of a user is never shown. Finally, unlike some websites and apps that let anyone find and contact you, with WhosHere you only get contacted by mutual matches.
