Apple's Next Generation iOS Also Includes Subtle Changes

Earlier this week, we offered our first look at how Apple plans to change their native apps in iOS 6.0. Today, we give you a closer look at six instances where Apple has changed iOS 6.0 versus their current iOS version.

Instead of text boxes, sharing from within native Apple apps is now done by clicking on icons. In iOS 6.0 beta, sharing through messaging is no longer present. However, this will likely be corrected before iOS 6.0 is released to the public this fall. Additionally, you'll notice Apple's new iOS Facebook integration is on display here. This slight tweak adds some color to an otherwise ho-hum function of iOS. These improved sharing capabilities also extend to the App Store, where you can now share app information in new ways. These include via Message, Twitter, Facebook, or you can copy the app link and use it elsewhere in iOS.

Also new in the App Store, is how iOS utilizes the search screen. It now contains larger icons and buttons to make a purchase.

Additionally, the overall App Store experience has been completely changed with iOS 6. Apple has changed the look of the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes. Settings The next generation iOS includes a number of new features including Privacy and Do Not Disturb. When the latter is activated, you'll see a moon icon at the top of your iDevice screen near the time.

As we indicated previously, Apple is also changing the look and feel of the Phone app. Instead of having dark colors, the keypad is now all decked out with a lighter hue.
