Dropbox’ iOS app is having some serious issues lately. With its recent update to version 1.5, users have been reporting a rash of password errors and black screens upon logging in. The supposed fix, released today (version 1.5.1) has solved the problems for some, though most affected users are reporting that the effort has yet to make the app actually usable.
If you’re currently using a working version of Dropbox for iOS, we strongly recommend that you hold off on updating until everything is sorted out. If you’ve already updated, however, there may be some hope: Simply delete the app from your iDevice and redownload the newest iteration. Some folks have seen success going this route, but it’s far from guaranteed. Still, it’s worth a shot.
Otherwise, you’ll just need to hang tight until Dropbox’ dev team comes through with a proper solution.
