First Look: Temple Run: Brave

June 4, 2012
Temple Run: Brave is set to arrive soon in the App Store. The $0.99 game launches ahead of the release of Disney Pixar’s next motion picture, “Brave.” It's to arrive seven months after the popular Temple Run launched for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. Created by Imangi Studios, Temple Run: Brave is primarily an archery game where players tap targets to shoot a bullseye and earn coins. You star as Merida with a goal of outrunning Mordu, the “demon bear,” and one of the chief villains of “Brave.” Best of all, the game comes with 2,500 coins, each used for power-ups and much more. Along the way, you’ll experience all new visuals and environments inspired by the wilds of Scotland. Other features include:
  • Simple swipe and tilt control that are easy to use and just feel right
  • Level up your character and use crazy power-ups
  • Game Center Leaderboards and Achievements to compete with your friends
  • Endless play!
First released in December, Temple Run has already been downloaded 80 million times and was recently named one of Time Magazine’s Top 30 Apps to download. Arriving in theaters on June 22, “Brave” follows the story of Merida, the skilled archer and headstrong daughter of King Fergus. Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies age-old custom and unleashes chaos and fury in the kingdom. We'll let you know when Temple Run: Brave is released. In the meantime, be sure to download the free Temple Run.
