Brewster Puts All Your Contacts On One Page

July 12, 2012
In our continued quest to find a better Contacts app, we say hello today to the Brewster app, now available in the App Store. The free app brings together everyone you know across multiple services. The result is a personalized, merged, and updated profile of all the people in your life. The first time you start Brewster, you’ll be asked to login using either a Facebook or Twitter account. From there, you can link your LinkedIn, Gmail, or Foursquare account. Naturally, you can also include those connections already listed in Apple’s native Contacts app. From there, Brewster will take some time to create your own personalized address book. Plus, as new people are added to any of your services, they too will find a home in the Brewster ecosystem. According to the Brewster F.A.Q. page, the app was built with security in mind.
At the core, our service was designed around user control, security, and privacy. Brewster will not share personally identifiable information with any third party without your express consent. Users own rights to any content created on Brewster. We only access information users knowingly provide us.
Brewster looks extremely promising. Once we have a chance to test it further, we’ll let you know our thoughts. In the meantime, Brewster is available in the App Store. Today’s introduction follows the arrival of another Contacts app alternative for iOS. The Savi People app arrived last month. Additionally, Buzz Contacts arrived earlier this year. Both have been featured at AppAdvice. Which contacts app do you use on your iPhone?
