Unfold is a popular jailbreak tweak that adds an accordion style animation to your device’s lock screen. The developer could have charged a dollar or two for this amazing tweak, but he decided to make it available for free.

Unfold recently got a substantial update that adds even more features and functionality to your lock screen. The latest version adds a new vertically unfolding animation. It works exactly like you’d think, unfolding your lock screen from bottom to top. When used with a passcode, Unfold will reveal the screen that prompts you to enter it.

Unfold 2.0 also adds the ability to change the number of slices that appear in the unfolding effect. You can set this option anywhere between one and ten, giving this update the ultimate level of customization.

The last feature this update brings is the ability to customize the “unfold to unlock” text on the lock screen. It’s nothing amazing or ground breaking, but definitely is a much needed feature in my opinion.

Unfold 2.0 is available for free in the BigBoss repository. If you already have the previous version installed, you can grab the update on the changes tab in the Cydia Store. Unfold 2.0 is only compatible with iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5 or higher.
