New Scrollshow Presentation App For iPad Shows Promise
November 1, 2012
Looking for an inexpensive and simple to use presentation app for iPad? Consider the $3.99 Scrollshow app, which recently arrived in the App Store.
Created by Plimse SAS, Scrollshow is considered the first panoramic presentation editor for iPad, and includes multi-speed backgrounds for all your needs. Sample uses include presenting your travel, birthday or wedding photos, demonstrating products during tradeshows, or animating infographics online.
Creating a new presentation begins by selecting from one of the 20 pre-designed themes. These are divided into seven categories including landscape, countries, bio nature, abstract, cube, panoramic, and colors.
Next, you may add photos from the Photo app, as well as text and shapes. Each is arranged by dragging, pinching, and rotating them with touch gestures. You can also manage the speed of each page, as well as display your presentation full screen or through AirPlay Mirroring. Finally, presentations are easily sharable via email, although they are currently not accessible through other applications such as PowerPoint and Keynote. However, scrollshow.net will eventually provide a forum for users to share presentations with anyone using a Web browser. Scrollshow will also soon include a cloud-based import/export feature. Take a look: Scrollshow looks promising, even as a version 1.0 release. Hopefully, future updates will make it even better. For a limited time, Scrollshow is available in the App Store for just $0.99. For other presentation apps, see Apps For Public Speakers.
