Just moments after claiming that Apple will launch a 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display, 9to5Mac is making another assertion.

According to the site, the long-rumored “iPad Mini” will, in fact, be called the iPad Mini. In addition, it will launch along with a new line of Smart Covers.

Apple will be selling what it is calling the “iPad Mini Smart Cover” in red, dark gray, light gray, pink, green, and blue. These covers are actually called “iPad Mini Smart Covers”, so we assume that the smaller iPad is, in fact, called the iPad Mini.

As a reminder, AppAdvice will provide live streaming of today’s event at 9 a.m. PDT with a pre-show. Apple will provide a live video stream from San Jose, Calif. beginning at 10 a.m. PDT.
