CES 2013: SkinIt Offers Protection, Personalization For iPhones

January 12, 2013
SkinIt had a booth set up at CES 2013 to show off their line of protective options for iDevices. Our own Dom Esposito caught up with them to learn more. While Apple puts a lot of time and effort into making the iPhone as perfect as possible, in the end, it is still a design done by them. Those looking to make his or her device stand out from the rest would have to do something else. That’s where SkinIt comes in. SkinIt products come in two forms: a case or a “skin.” The difference between the two is the difference of form and function. While the case provides more protection, it also adds bulk to the device’s body. The skin, on the other hand, is a decal that applies directly onto the device. Your iPhone won’t receive as much protection, but its form factor will be more reduced than if you had a case. According to the site, removing a skin is as easy as peeling it off. No residue left behind. Whichever route you choose won’t limit you to the multitude of licensing SkinIt offers. Batman. Hello Kitty. NFL. They have them all and then some. Even if you can’t find that perfect design, you can always upload your own, making your skin truly a personalized piece. A SkinIt kit is sold in stores for $39.99, which gives you the case and a coupon to visit the site and create your customizable skin. While this is an option, it’s still recommended that you just visit the site directly to purchase everything. Would you want to skin your phone, or do you want to leave it vanilla?
