How To Put Apps Inside Of Newsstand Without A Jailbroken Device

Lately, there has been an uprising of jailbreak-free tweaks that allow you to maximize the customization of your iOS device. PassHack, CarrierEditor, and iEmpty are all perfect examples of ways to customize an iOS device without a jailbreak. We’ve been forced to use these jailbreak-free tweaks because there’s currently no jailbreak available for any of Apple’s latest devices or iOS 6.
The latest edition to these nifty tweaks is the ability to place apps or folders inside of Newsstand. These apps can be mixed in with actual Newsstand magazines, or you can make Newsstand a dedicated app folder. Discovered by a reader on iDownloadBlog, this little trick has definitely proven to be useful for myself. It's also important to note that I've only been able to do this on iOS 6 devices.
Check out our video overview of this process below:

In order to get this process to work, you must have Newsstand on the second home screen of your device and the apps you’d like to place inside of Newsstand on the third screen. Step 1: Once you’ve set up your apps in the proper positions, swipe over to the third screen, press the home button, and tap and hold on an app. You device will immediately move back to the first screen. When this happens, you need to quickly swipe back to the second home screen without lifting your finger. If you’ve completed this successfully, your icons should be in “wiggle mode.” Step 2: Next, tap on Newsstand to open it up and then press the home button. The app you’ve selected should now move into Newsstand. You can repeat this process with as many apps as you’d like, but that’s not where the fun ends. You can also use this same process to put folders within Newsstand and folders inside of folders. If you attempt to open a folder within Newsstand, your device's springboard will restart and all of the apps will be placed back on to the home screen. If you'd like to move the apps out of Newsstand, you can do so by rebooting your device. Give it a shot and let us know what you think in the comments below!
