Confirmed: The iOS 6 Untethered Jailbreak Will Be Released Tomorrow

February 4, 2013
The Evad3rs have officially announced (via Twitter) that the iOS 6 untethered jailbreak will be released Feb. 4, 2013. For all of you that have been patiently waiting the Evasi0n tool's release, you'll have to hang tight for one more day. Though an official release time hasn't been announced, the status on the Evasi0n website has now moved to 91 percent.

The status message now shows, "Final testing and preparation. Come back soon!" This could mean the release is a full day away, or possibly just hours depending on what time is chosen for the tool's launch. The Evasi0n tool will work with all variations of iOS 6, but it's always best to jailbreak on a fresh restore. Planetbeing recently explained the release date on Reddit:
We all want a good night's rest before we deal with all the problems tomorrow. We also want to give tweak developers a little heads-up so they can get ready and put out any updates. If Cydia does get hammered tomorrow (which hopefully it won't due to the included packages list), tweak developers often have a hard time pushing needed updates because of connectivity issues.
So I guess this means that "Monday is Funday." I know many of you are getting ansty, but this is definitely worth the wait. Stay tuned everyone, it's going to be a long night. We'll have a detailed video overview of the entire process once the tool has been released. Be sure to check out our jailbreak section to find some great tweaks that you may want to install on your liberated iOS 6 device after tomorrow's release.
