It's Alive! Tamagotchi Is Reborn Via Upcoming iOS App
Those of a certain age probably remember Tamagotchi, the small plastic toy on a keychain that contained a virtual pet that needed to be nurtured, or else. Tamagotchi is coming back, this time as an app for the iPhone/iPod touch, according to The Telegraph. Original launched in Japan in 1996, 78 million Tamagotchi units were eventually sold worldwide. It required users to look after a virtual pet at regular intervals. If this didn’t happen, the pet would die.
