A new iPad mini 2 rumor is making the rounds. MobiLeaks claims that Apple’s second-generation iPad mini will include a 7.9-inch Retina display, A6X processor, and more. Apple’s second iPad mini is heavily anticipated since many believe it will include a Retina display for the first time. Assuming that MobiLeaks’ tipster is correct, that anticipation will be rewarded. As such, the device is said to include a display that measures 2048 x 1536 pixels. However, it is worth noting that the specs mentioned here are similar to those of previous rumors. Earlier this month, for example, NPD DisplaySearch claimed that the iPad mini 2 will be “boasting one of the highest tablet resolutions to date.” According to them, the 7.9-inch display will have a resolution of 2048 x 1536, which is roughly the same pixels per inch (PPI) as the Retina screen on the iPhone 5. Apple could announce a second-generation iPad mini as early as next month at the Worldwide Developers Conference. More likely, however, Apple will wait until the fall to announce the update. This error has now been corrected.
