Upcoming Feature In iOS 7 Discovered: Speak To Correct Misspelled Words

June 28, 2013
Another interesting new feature we've just been made aware of, in iOS 7 beta 2, is a new option to actually speak a word to correct it. This will pop up if you tap on a word that iOS does not recognize. So, if you're chronically a terrible speller, this feature is for ewe. If you don't know how to spell it, hopefully you at least know how to say it. If not, there is no hope for you, my friend. One thing we did notice, though, was that not all devices were showing this new feature. For example, in the screenshot above, the one on the left has this feature, whereas, the one on the right does not. Either way, this is a pretty interesting new finding. In iOS 6, it will only show "No Replacements Found," leaving you high and dry if you have no idea what you're talking about. Literally. I guess iOS 7 wants us to seem a little smarter than we are. Or at least get us using words like onomatopoeia more often in every day conversation. Say that five times fast.
