iPhone:

Temple - Hydration, Food, Fitness and More ($2.99 → Free, 23.2 MB): A fitness app you'll actually use. It allows you to to track your fitness and build healthy habits with little hassle. You're able to set targets for the three included fields, or you can customize each one to better fit what you want to accomplish. Then every time you you complete a task, pop into the app and give one of the activity icons a tap. Your activity will be recorded and tracked, and then you can look back on it to see if you're improving our falling behind. The app includes coaching messages, reminders, a history timeline, and loads of tracking data.

Temple - Hydration, Food, Fitness and More is available for free today only (08/16). It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 15 ratings.

Talking Larry the Bird ($0.99 → Free, 19.8 MB): Some times you just need a friend to talk to. Let Larry the bird be that friend! Larry can be interacted with in a variety of ways: he can be poked, fed, struck with lightning, or you can play on the keyboard and listen to him whistle. You can also say anything and Larry will repeat it. Your interactions with Larry can be recorded and shared in a variety of ways as well.

Talking Larry the Bird is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 437 ratings.

Universal:

Lacrosse Dodge ($2.99 → Free, 48.7 MB): Run through crazy obstacles, dodge defenders, and score goals in this endless distance game. Don your lacrosse helmet and sprint down the field to score points. You're able to tilt to steer your character, and swipe across the screen to spin out of harm's way. Whenever you see a net, swipe up in its general direction to fire a shot and earn more points. The field is littered with coins to help boost your score and speed bursts to run even faster. The game also includes leaderboards via Game Center.

Lacrosse Dodge is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 565 ratings.

Math Heroes 1 - Basic Operations ($2.99 → Free, 142.6 MB): Your child can join the Math Heroes and try to defeat the Ignarous Army by solving math problems in this educational game. They'll be presented with a series of problems, and they must choose the correct answers before time expires. At the end of each game they'll be rewarded with coins, which can be used to customize their ninja. The game includes four basic operations, five mini-games, 100 levels, and support for multiple user profiles.

Math Heroes 1 - Basic Operations is available for free today only (08/16). It has a 3.5-star rating with a total of 18 ratings.

French First Words with Phonics: Preschool Spelling & Learning Word Game for Children ($1.99 → Free, 36.3 MB): An educational game that will help your kids learn French through phonics. Your child is presented with an animal and its name. They must tap and drag the letters into place to complete the puzzle. When a letter is tapped on, your child will hear the sound it makes. When its name is completed, your child will hear it pronounced. The app includes 30 animals, upper and lowercase letters, and a variety of customization options. Additional categories are available via in-app purchase.

French First Words with Phonics: Preschool Spelling & Learning Word Game for Children is available for free for a limited time. It has a 5-star rating with a total of 5 ratings.

Those Days(+Journal/Calendar/Reminder/Photo) ($2.99 → Free, 3.2 MB): Sometimes tracking down photos in Apple's native Photos app can be tricky, especially if you have a huge library. Those Days simplifies the search by allowing you to view your photos on a monthly calendar. All you have to do is provide Those Days with access to your library, and it will instantly arrange and display your photos. If multiple photos were taken on a single day, just tap on it to view all of them at once. Those Days also allows you to add new photos and events. The app includes iCloud support, the ability to add comments, and a customizable grid view.

Smart Office 2 ($9.99 → Free, 20.7 MB): View, create, edit, and share Office documents with this productivity app. The app is loaded with features, including a variety of formatting and font options, preloaded templates, search, AirPrint support, the ability to export files as PDFs, and Dropbox and Google Docs integration. It also supports a wide variety of file formats.

iPad:

SWARM! ($0.99 → Free, 244.4 MB): Play as HotRod and leap into action to save the city from an intergalactic police force in this 3-D platformer. Tilt your iPad to get HotRod rolling and tap on the screen to leap over obstacles. Solve environmental puzzles and hunt down the goal as quickly as possible to earn a perfect rating. The game includes two modes, a colorful cast of characters, and multiple environments.

SWARM! is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 15 ratings.
