Next Issue Now Includes Over 100 Digital Magazine Titles For One Monthly Price
September 2, 2013
Next Issue Media is celebrating a huge milestone. Users can now access over 100 digital magazines using the Next Issue app, which is available on the iPad and other devices.
First launched in mid-2012, Next Issue offers an unlimited supply of magazine content for one monthly price. In the last few months, eight new titles were added to the service. These included: Newsweek, Shape, Consumer Reports, Entrepreneur, Motor Trend, PC Magazine, ShopSmart, and Ski.
To commemorate the milestone, Next Issue Media released the following infographic, which we sliced into four sections to fit on our page:
There are two packages available: Basic and Premium.
A $9.99 Basic membership includes over 90 titles including Cooking Light, Esquire, Real Simple, Vanity Fair, Wired, and more. The $14.99 per month Premium package adds weeklies to the list, including The New Yorker, Entertainment Weekly, Sports Illustrated, People, and more. Both membership plans come with 30 days of free service.

I've been a Next Issue customer from the start and continue to use the app on a daily basis. Unfortunately, it still doesn't support the Retina display of the two most recent iPad models. However, this is expected to change in the coming months, which is great news.
A Next Issue spokesperson recently told AppAdvice:
Our Next Issue iPad users can expect Retina display support in Spring 2014. While substantially increasing our catalog across all our supported platforms, our engineering team is working hard to make the majority of interactive titles in our expansive catalog available in Retina. We hope our users can appreciate the difficulty of that feat as we continue to add title after title to the already long list. The free Next Issue app is available in the App Store.
